You are quite correct in your thinking, but on the basis of comparative influence on the industry, it would appear that WAVX will have to make sure that its implementation is "not incompatible with the standard set by the industry", rather than hoping it will be the other way around.

I hope and have confidence that WAVX management has for a long time been very much on top of what appears to us to be "recent news" in the RSN article and that they, either directly or through their developmental contacts with the HP's and IBM's of the world, are already involved in this developmental process.

I also hope that WAVX will not be in a competition for on-board chip-space or slot-space with other security related products that, once purchased by a user, preclude reasonable addition of a Wave-meter.

The results remain to be seen (or heard).
