"I don't agree with a waiting period personally. 2 days, 5 or 7 is not going to make a person any less insane. This so called cooling off period is crap in my opinion and the only purpose it serves is to prevent a person in immediate need of protection from getting a hold of a gun"

It doesn't matter what justification the legislature or the news media use, they are violating and encourging violation of the fundamental constitutional laws of the land by attempting to infringe on citizens right to keep and bear arms. There is no justification for interfering with a citizens right to keep and bear arms short of a new amendment canceling the 2nd.

"the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. "

Those who attempt to infringe, whether the legislatures by passing legislation or the news media by pusing for unconstitutional laws to circumvent the 2nd, should be treated as the worst kind of criminals.
They belong in prison. The local congressional districts need to start filing criminal charges against congressment and senators who pass legislation in violation of the 2nd.
They should be tried as civil rights violators. They are infringing on their constituents civil right to keep and bear arms.
