Its my opinion, and granted, I'm a relative latecommer to the Loral Cult, but nonetheless, my opinion is Mr. S. has already decided on the next acquisition target (or major alliance) and would have announced it by now, if it weren't for the right wing smoke bombs clouding the situation.

At the same time, VSAT doesn't smell right for a complete acquisition-- they bootstrapped themselves by selling stock to their employees, and they have done good job of insuring the long term viability of the company (sacrificing some of the potential for rocket like growth). I can beleive that there may be a deal with Loral in which Loral buys a stake, but I would be very surprised at an acquisition. The personalities don't seem right.

So, I suspect there is something bigger in the works.

Usually, I just want to talk about facts, so apologies for the post full of speculation and intuition.
