Bill; I ain't got it figured either, just a guess..but I'm getting
this figured, those stocks that had sell on close, had to exercise
then sell as the BID on the option was too low..
But I jumped to look at LU, and guess what, they were bidding that
one at a premium, same with MSFT..
Looking at these options at expiration seems to indicate how much people want the shares, just by the bid / ask and last trade right
about at the money. If the option is at a discount then they exercise
and sell, but if it's at a premium and most of them exercise anyway,
I would think that is bullish.
