So you like X's better than O's huuu?
Well, now that depends. If I want to go long or a buy call, I want X's. If I'm in a nasty mood and I want to short a stock, I look for O's.

I've read the discussions and here is my .02.

If you are long on a stock and the RS is in X's, it is important to continue the trend i.e giving RS buy signals. This would be a factor in my decision to hold a stock. I would not need to see a buy signal before entering a stock. I'd prefer to get a stock when the RS just flips to the positive side because I then know I'm in the beginning of the trend. Especially if it is oversold and the sector reverses up at he same time. Yum yum.

Reversely, if I see a sector tank and an RS turn south, I'd jump on a short position. Of course in all these examples I have evaluated the trend etc.

Say you take a position in an RS Sell stock that is trending in X's. Then it turns down. What do you do?
Answer: I'd cover or sell. I don't mess with RS. Ohhh, good bumper sticker "I don't MESS with RS.." How about "P&Fers are more passionate because they do it in X's and O's.."

Sorry, tangent.

Say you take a position in an RS buy/+ stock and it turns down. What here?
Answer same as above (without the bumper stickers)

You have to take it all in perspective with the market. If the market and NYSE BP is in rally mode and your stock goes RS - , that is telling you it ain't happenin' for your stock (you sell or cover). If the market and NYSE BP is in a downtrend and your stock flips RS+, you have a strong stock bucking the trend (you may want to buy more).

I don't make it too difficult Eric. Stay simple. I look at the RS always and it ways very heavily in my decision process.

I'm not sure this is the answer you are looking for.

It is very hot here and my keyboard I swear, is sweltering.
