Curtis,
I'm disappointed - I thought you had both feet firmly planted! Sure, speculators could send this on a wild ride, but I think that's very unlikely. Somewhere, sometime, we will finally see projections of earnings once fully reporting status is obtained, and probably before FDA approval. I know I'm going to be asking management to share their business plan's goals with us, so we can judge if they're attainable, and if so, just what that will mean for profits. Viagra was big because it was selling into a multi-billion dollar market. Ditto for the internet stocks. But not here.
Secondly, manias are greatest for things people can understand and experience. Everyone understands the attraction of Viagra, or beanie babies, or tulips, or Web portals. This is a little more esoteric.
Again, I'm not saying we won't get a nice run-up over the next year or so; I'm clearly hoping so. But the idea that "the price will become wild" is doubtful, IMO.
