Javelyn: OT - Speaking of my synergy comment, here's a URL that delves a weee bit into solar voltaics:
worldwatch.org
Granted it's all about solar cells, but my point is as this alternative energy generation market sector takes off, it'll be important to have an energy storage system available. Now whether it's ultimately Lith-poly, or NiMHd, or some of the newer polymer batteries currently under development in places like MIT, is anyone's guess, but need I say the next decade is going to be very interesting.
Speaking of interesting, Nasa's Pathfinder Plus, which holds the world propeller altitude record of 71,530 ft., and can ultimately stay there for days, is powered by advanced solar cell's with lith-poly batteries as storage for overnight. Now I'll be the first to admit all of this is waaaay down on the market penetration curve, ahem, but nonetheless, all these area's are certainly exciting to contemplate, eh?
Regards!
