I enjoyed reading your post. Many years ago, I was working in a DEC VMS shop and studying Windows programming in my spare time. While everyone around me laughed, I bought MSFT stock. A decade later, I'm laughing. I wish someone would have given me the quality of advice you posted when I first left school. Even more importantly, I wish I would have been smart enough to take it.
