You raise good points. The role of LGND's executive leadership is to maximize shareholder value(that is not plural). Given all the information available to LGND how should their strategy and operations be handled differently.

I agree that dilution needs to be carefully watched. Hindsight can always point to errors, however, this is not exactly fair. No executive team is correct 100% of the time. Therefore our discussion should be about plans going forward given what we know.

I agree that one step would be to incentivize LGNDW holders to exercise early. It may well behoove LGND to opt for cash in the second payment of the ONTACK acquisition. Obviously each stage of the process needs to be carefully weighed to determine the optimized approach over time. I would far prefer to raise cash at $45 per share than at $12 or $16.

Au contraire, I have not seen enough evidence that LGND has done a particularly bad job to date.
