CC,
You write: "If someone actually wanted to attend a meeting then it SHOULD HAVE behoved them to take some initiative and FIND OUT THEMSELVES, rather than wait by their mailbox day by day looking for the postman to bring the information to them. Gawd, some of you people are so d* lazy it is pathetic".
It seems the only point that keeps coming through in your continuing diatribe is that if people don't follow companies via forums like SI, then they should bug the IR departments of all the companies they own to find out about things like annual meetings. This is evidently necessary because the companies can't be relied upon to get the information out in a timely enough manner for people to act on. The only other option you seem to present is for people to memorize the bylaws of every company to determine whether bugging the IR depts. is necessary. This whole line of reasoning makes less than zero sense and you know it.
Until this month I've followed your posts on this thread and others and have almost always found them to be factual, to the point, and usually accurate. However, your credibilty with me began slipping when you began attacking Ernie for some of his OPINIONS and will probably continue to slide as long as you continue to beat this dead horse.
Personally, I happened to agree with most of Ernie's points. I also agree with the ones Ken made last night --- especially the "making an ass" part.
I hope this doesn't put me in your "dumb", "lazy", "moronic", "stupid", "pathetic", "just got off the turnip truck", etc. classification of people. If it does, however, guess I'll just have to learn to live with it.
Regardless, I hope you get your posts back to the higher level which I -- and I'm certain a lot of others -- had come to expect of you.
