I don't believe the AOL deal cost CyberCash a cent. The CEO of CyberCash sits on the board of AOL, and I bet it is a revenue sharing deal.

I feel now more than ever, buying CyberCash would be a bad move by CheckFree. First off, CyberCash for the most part deals with Credit Card transactions, an area where CheckFree is not trying to concentrate (for good reason, there are many enemies in Credit Card processing). Second, CyberCash's bill presentment is smoke and mirrors at this point, and would not help CheckFree speed up their bill presentment product. Last, CyberCash is years away from turning a profit, and would slow CheckFree's earnings growth.

Just my opinion,

Benny(I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time)
