That's interesting. The institutional belief is the bigger companies are safer. On this I agree with the institutional attitude because you're assumption forgets the multiples and earnings visibility of small companies. Your view necessitates that interest rates won't rise. That isn't a good premise, but it sure is the popular one. Both institutional investors and the public all of whom which state they are in for the long run, are eyeing the doors. The only way to serve such dedication will be to open the DOW down 2,000 points, yet there will be no significant tangible evidence of trouble in the non-financial world to warrant the reaction.
