Does anyone have any other insights into the sell-off on Friday? >> You may interpreting things incorrectly. Look at the data again. The volume on Wednesday & Thursday was higher than on Friday. Both Wednesday & Thursday were significant up days. In the last 10 trading days, there have been 4 up days on above average volume, and 1 down day on above average volume. The tone would appear more bullish than bearish. I don't interpret Friday as a sell-off. Seemed more like traders taking their short term profits. A healthy event. Of course we'll have a clearer picture after the close on Tuesday :).
