Hello all. I am back from a week's vacation. Very refreshing. Though coming back to all the email and hundreds of mostly worthless SI posts makes me think I ought to just do like Taxi and give up on speculating and start a real business. Actually, I am planning on starting a business with a college buddy next year, so the issue is whether to get out of the speculation business. Its tough to always be swimming against the stream, and one missed stroke can send you back many many meters. Anyways, as for the Panama Canal...total non-issue. I believe Carter was the one to give it away, everybody and their brother has had 20 years to adjust. Moreso, it is not significant anymore (it was loosing significance when it was given away)...modern Supertankers won't fit through it. hang tough, -Allan
