DA, I don't believe I had anything to discuss with ernie about any of his "opinions" whatever they might be. I set the record straight that there would be a mailing of the annual meeting, per usual, and that for someone to state the fact that the Company was not going to do a mailing, was ludicrous. Plain and simple. For you to suggest at this time that you often actually AGREE with what ernie has to say, is surprising considering the arrogance of ernie's erroneous statement and his failure to retract it on his own... But you are entitled to your opinion, just don't have a coronary when your proxy arrives in the mail. (g) . if people don't follow companies via forums like SI, then they should bug the IR departments of all the companies they own to find out about things like annual meetings. Well re you have the gist of it. Of course you are being factious when you say you should rely on forums like S.I. for such info, and you exaggerate in saying calling the Company telling them you are planning to be present for the annual meeting, and would like the date and time, and a recommendation for a place to stay, is "bugging them". . Of course some stragglers do just pop into an annual meeting after reading the mailing they got in the mail, but it never hurts to talk with the Company before hand before making the trip. I have found, without exception, a warm welcome when calling to set up arrangements to attend annual meetings. . Colin |
