Mike, I guess this reply is a little more than a day late, but only $0.98 short, as I'll include my two cents worth. Briefing.com seems to feel AAPL's earnings were real enough, and a positive reflection on their cost-cutting, and seems to feel they may continue to increase profits, with some more increase in stock price to follow. But their concern is about AAPL's decreasing revenues, off 46% from three years ago (3QFY95: $2.575 billion vs 3QFY98: $1.402 billion). AAPL's said they'll show a "meaningful" year-over-year revenue growth this coming FY1Q ending this December. So, since I pretty much agree with briefing.com on this one...I guess I'll mark my calendar to start looking for a straddle that makes sense. Geez, why didn't I just say I think it could go either way.<G>
Best regards, Merritt
