Hawaii Sunrise....as usual - just shoot from the hip or pull it out the air-

... No problem with disagreeing, but spend a little more time than the ''slider in the -''butt'' remarks; this gives a way too easy read on the fact that my comments must have hit a little close to home... huh ?

Short the 'oilpatch & getting a little sweaty on those hairy little palms of yours ?

Show us what you've got in that little gord of yours..... give me 4-5 paragraphs minimum - explain your philosophy, tell me why, point to other industry people, economists, studies, statistics etc. that support your comments... and then and only then will this thread return to intelligent discourse !

My bottom ''call' or ''decoupling'' position will only be proven or unproven by time; however what even some ''insulting flake'' can not deny is that in comparison to the lows of January or March, that our present sell off levels are a much more logical and prudent ''bottom'' call, or investment entry-point, or a spot to average down into because;

----> we have so much more info now, in which to base a decision; that we did not have before, .... you NimRod !

.... we know what OPEC is going to do, or at least that they ''did'' do something. The Riyadyh pact members now ''exist'', we now know that we are NOT going to $12 crude price-wise on a long term basis (this was not a given in Jan), we now know what Jack-Up rates (and other dayrates) are per the conference calls and earnings reports, we now know that most companies ARE actually hitting estimates and even setting revenue & earnings records in the face of the ''chicken little'' world in which you reside..., we now know that newbuilds are coming online for deepwater drillers with all ready agreed upon long term contracts - how can FLC, NE,DO etc. be selling at/near 52 week lows with 50%EPS growth coming a few short months down the road from these newbuilds- the hell with Jack up rates - they could shut down their damn jack ups and be worth these price levels ! - if these aren't prudent investments - show me one ...,we now know that companies like FGII, VRC have tremendous backlogs and some like HLX have actual backlogs larger than last years sales revenues ! - can you believe HLX is selling for 60% off it's 52 week high; geez - must be that stinkin thinkin that crude prices obviously shut off the earnings valve for ''niche'' sectors like HLX ! - WRONGO Moron-boy; it's just that I'm beating the crowd to the.... ''It's the numbers-stupid'' party.....and the market will follow - bank on it !

Ps; ...if anyone is wondering why my ''biting'' tone of late; it is because of the high degree of a total lack of research, homework or analytical thinking and assinine comments by way too many people... DO NOT misunderstand what I'm saying; I am not referring to anyone who may be 100% opposed to my thinking, but instead I am referring to the ''shoot from the hip'', let others do my thinking crowd or the ''quick-insult quip'' replys...

- a prime example was; someone asked ''someone'' - ''how low do you think the drillers will go from here'' ? - Not that there is anything wrong with this question. But I would expect an answer that was not just ''plucked'' out of the air (or somewhere else) and just thrown out there, without any reference to any fundamental facts... earnings growth, PE valuations, relationship to the market, reference to crude pricing etc. - for these comments to go unchallenged, and accepted as intelligent commentary....EXCUSE ME !

And the sad fact is that soooo many people swallow this as the gospel. Overall; for the ''revered'' long-time experts here on this thread; I am NOT impressed. I may be a ''newbie'' , but I don't go crying or selling on every downturn or dip... the ''gutcheck'' level on this thread is like the Italian Army of WW II.... you guy's are ready to puke & fold if the wind switches directions. You're in a sector in which 20%+ corrections happen either way, very quickly I see people waver and abandoned the fundamental, core reasons they invested in this sector in the fist place for trivial media-hyped headlines or even worse - the psychobabble drivel spewed by the doomsayers; when nothing fundamentally or mathematically has changed ! damn; ------ buy Mutual Funds or Utilities if you can't stand the heat... or Bonds ! What we have here are a bunch of ''follow the herd'' mentalities that buy into the "chicken little'' - end of the oil patch - the sky is falling psychobabble spewed by others without accepting the personal responsibility of reviewing the most ''neutrall'' factor in the entire equation --- the damn NUMBERS-stupid !

Personally I never in my life read 3 sentences on the oil business or this sector untill this past March. I wouldn't have known a jack up from a jack off - (Hawaii Sunrise)... I never heard of FGII, CDG,EVI or even RIG, The oil sector was EXXON or Mobile and maybe SLB...hell, I thought they drilled the damn stuff themselves ! - so my chagrin is NOT to the obvious ''newbie'' questions; it is to the absolute pompous, self-rightous, under-informed, intellectually paralyzed, verbally flatulant assholes that inhabite this thread for the most part...and you be knowin who you iz !

PS...not referring to the Dog in the above. - have good respect for the dog, the dog may disagree with the ''decoupling issue'', but I have respect for the dog; the dog reads, studies and IS connnected - Believe you me - I learn in Chicago, don't be messin wit dose dat be connected !...

Above all; it's the the lovely cards and comments (not to mention private messages) from the likes of LT, Diamond H, Mike Schiavo, Michael Happell ,BW, JBe , Greg M., William Oppenheim (what the hell kind of name is that - were you named after a damn mutual fund ?) and the Hawaii Sunrise's ... of the world that validate I'm on the track to ''makin sum money''... because if the majority of the intellectual giants on this thread agreed with me....I would be arriving ''late to the party'' and as I've all ways said; ... 'tis much better financially to be arriving early and beating the crowd to (the stock market ) party ...

Ps; the meek may someday inherit the earth; but they will never beat the market !

PSS; ...nothing wrong with being a ''newbie'' poster; but at least I paid the damn membership in full, up front before my first post or insult !...damn this must be a Gen' X thing.... Hawaii Sunrise be nuttin but a damn tresspassin poacher in my book....
