Here are a few more early LAB NR's. The first one is from Sept.25/95, it seems to be the first release after they figured they had found something up in SVB. LAB was trading around $1.90 at this time:
Mr Stanley Ford reports Pallaum, Swannell and Labrador have results from a preliminary phase of exploration in the south Voisey Bay area on the Adalator River 2 claim block approximately 90km south of the Diamond Field discovery. A mineralized horizon which has been traced over a strike length of 2.5km has been identified on the company's properties. This zone is part of a larger regional trend which has been traced over a strike length of 14km. A total of 59 grab and chip samples of heavily oxidized material collected from two exposed gossan zones have returned significant copper, nickel and cobalt values. Mineralization consists of the fine grained sulphides (ranging up to 10%) which assay up to 0.25% copper, 0.28% nickel and 0.018% cobalt. These samples were collected from a series of gently dipping gabbro sills with a thickness of at least five metres. Outcrop in the region of the Adalator River 2 claim block is limited and the potential for the discovery of additional mineralization is considered excellent. According to the project's contract geologist, the occurrence of wide spread copper-nickel-cobalt mineralization with consistent results indicates that the south Voisey Bay area has potential to host a Diamond Fields type discovery. The companies have completed airborne magnetic and EM surveys over the property but results are not yet available. Based on the significant results, the companies intend to carry out a major fall/winter exploration program consisting initially of ground geophysics and rock sampling to be followed by diamond drilling. The exploration program is expected to commence in October.

Mr Jerry Bradley reports Labrador International Mining has received further details concerning magnetic highs, observed mineralization and indicated zones of mineralization in several areas on the Adlatuk river 2 property from one of the geologists on the property. The magnetic highs are likely to represent zones of increased pyrrhotite (nickel) content in the rocks. The occurrence of pyrrhotite (nickel) on this property, (and at the Voisey Bay discovery), is associated with nickel-copper-cobalt mineralization. The strong correlation between the magnetic highs and observed mineralization in conjunction with the consistent sample results indicating mineralization, are two of the strongest and most critical markers in the search for a Voisey Bay type deposit. These are not the only indicators on this property. There are several striking similarities between the Adlatuk river 2 region and the Voisey Bay deposit region, including its proximity to the suture zone, similar values for nickel and copper in the lake sediment sampling, the occurrence of several mineralized gossans and the 1:1 ratio of nickel to copper as witnessed in the company's grab and chip samples, all of which mimic the original Voisey Bay deposit indicators. The company has only reported on the 2.5km portion of the horseshoe shaped area of observed mineralization indicated in the September 25 1995 news release in Stockwatch. There are additional areas which seem to initially follow the same patterns as the above zone of mineralization and which are of great interest to the company. Further developments concerning these areas will be reported as they become available. The exploration program is slated to commence in October. The company has completed airborne EM surveys over the property. The results of the EM survey, (indicating zones of high conductivity), will be correlated with magnetic highs and the rock geochemistry to identify areas for follow-up ground geophysics and subsequently the confirmation of targets for diamond drilling. The drilling, ground magnetic and camp permits have all been applied for.
This one is Oct.16/95 price of $1.05:
Mr Jerry Bradley reports Preliminary results of the airborne EM surveys have confirmed four zones of potential mineralization on the Adlatok River 2 property. The first area of intense readings is at the base of a regionally extensive gently dipping gabbro sill. This mineralization zone has been delineated by a visually identifiable horseshoe-shaped strike length of 2.5km. Its vertical face has an exposed thickness of up to six metres. Supporting data of high magnetic readings, consistent chip sample values in a 1:1 ratio of copper to nickel, and the observed areas of mineralization, when combined with these EM survey results, indicate that this area is a high priority target for the fall/winter drill program. The second area of intense readings has been found on a NW-SE trending zone which passes through the central part of Adlatok River 2 and is known to be a continuing zone of mineralization associated with the first area. The EM survey indicates that this zone is potentially 1.2-2km wide and at least 4km long. This zone correlates with known gabbro bodies and is coincident with known areas of mineralization making it a superb target for the fall/winter drill program. The third area of very strong readings has been found on the western end of the Adlatok River 2 property. This areas is associated with a strong conductor on an adjacent property which trends onto the Labrador property. This third area of mineralization corresponds with consistent chip sample values and high magnetic readings, making it an excellent target for the fall/winter drill program. The fourth area is also indicating a significant geophysical anomaly. This area may host significant mineralization and as further information becomes available, this area will likely be added to the drill program. The results of the EM surveys have confirmed for Labrador the wealth of positive indications that have been previously reported as to the possibility, the potential and now the strongest of indicators, that the Adlatok River 2 property hosts widespread areas of mineralization. Further interpretation of the final data, which may well expand the Ni-Ci-Co mineralized zones as to length, width and depth hosted on the property, will be released as available. The company will be conducting 80 line km ground geophysical surveys over these areas as previously planned. This will provide further hard evidence as to the dimensions of the potential Ni-Cu-Co mineralized areas. This work will be followed by an initial fall/winter drill program of 2,000 metres of diamond drilling.
This one is from Dec 8/95 price of .85:
Adlatok River 2 Property Update The company is currently awaiting results from drilling being conducted outside the western border of the Adlatok River 2 property. The zone being drilled is a large continuous ovoid feature which runs onto the Adlatok River 2 property and is outlined by a coincidental magnetic and electromagnetic signature. The zone is rated as excellent and the outlined portion on the Adlatok River 2 property is approximately 600 metres in width and 300 metres in length. The company plans to drill their portion of this ovoid feature immediately upon receipt of positive results from the third party drilling being conducted near the Adlatok River 2 border. The company is in the process of selecting a geological and exploration team to begin ground geophysics and drilling for area 1 of the Adlatok River 2 property to commence in early January 1996.
This is June 21/96 price of LAB was .72:
Mr Jerry Bradley reports Adlatok River 2 - South Voisey Bay Phase I drilling has been completed on the Adlatok River 2 property 90 km south of the Voisey Bay discovery. Drill results are expected within seven days and the company has made plans to mobilize the phase II drill program immediately. The company is the operator and retains a 50% interest in the Adlatok River 2 claims as part of a 2550 claim package in South Voisey Bay with Pallaum Minerals and Swannell Minerals each retaining a 25% interest.
I really don't know if any of this means anything, and I know it is quite lengthy, but I hope it helps to see what has already been accomplished up on the Adlatok 2 already. It just seems to me that they must know a bit more than what they are eluding to. Just my opinion though. 1King, I would love to hear your comments on the whole Adlatok program and what you think the potential is with the geological info already known. When you get a chance. Thank in advance!! Anybody else who can add to this would be great also.
(Sorry for the lengthy post!!)
