Publishing ? - CNBC's commentator needs to visit MacWorld , Seybold

>> " Later in the spot (on CNBC), there was stated concerns about software applications for the web publishing " <<

From MacWorld Singapore's 7/24/98 content web site:

" The tools of the publisher of today are becoming more and more relevant to the consumer and educator alike.

DV cameras, Power Macintosh G3 and PowerBook G3, DVD, Quicktime, AppleScript, ColorSync, and Web Objects, are letting publishing companies reinvent their businesses, providing small businesses access to tools that weren't previously available, and helping educators create the multimedia classroom of today.

Digital Video, Image Editing, and Internet Publishing are disciplines that were previously separate artisans and different tools.

Today convergence means that these skills and technologies are becoming inseparable and the people using them are blending them on the web, in print, and in digital video; all as digital media.

Publishers, Educators, and Consumers are no longer limited to just one media to communicate their ideas.

The Power Macintosh G3 and PowerBook G3 platform is the launching pad that brings vision to media without compromise of quality, time, or cost.
"

Plus there is SF's Seybold 8/31/98 where he will see a cross-platform OS with publishing apps . Seems like AAPL has it covered plus add the iMAC launch to the above .

As an aside , did the commentator look like he was related to Bruce Francis ? ;>)

Regards,
Jim K.
