Hi Brad,
>>But Denise, "Felderhof of the famed Bre-X" didn't prevent that debacle from happening, nor did having Walsh in Canada help. So, I don't think your argument about feeling more comfortable with Canadian residents is a valid one.<<
Being Canadian principals of course won't prevent debacles like BreX or PHV, or YBM from happening. However, the point I was trying to make is that there is an added price to pay if you have cultural and homeland roots in Canada, and you lost money of Canadian investors. Felderholf is now literally ostracized from living in Canada and will probably have to live in a foreign land for the rest of his life. Walsh, as you know, paid the ultimate price, and was not able to enjoy all that millions of dollars.
But, what if Felderholf and Walsh were Indonesians? Then, it would be quite likely that Walsh would still be alive, and he and Felderholf would probably be having a great time back in their native land.
