One More Thought For The Day...
Given deal approval, it would seem to make sense that
SEEK will incorporate the ABC/Starwave Moneyscope
site stock tracking capability into its revamped Personal Finance
Channel... whenever that revamping becomes final.
BTW, Starwave has a collaborate filtering partner (a kind
of predictive profiling) at www.netperceptions.com... I think
one may view Net Perceptions as THEIR equivalent (though
different) of Aptex Software, SEEK's visitor profiling partner.
It's going to be very interesting all the BACK-END profiling
tools, etc that SEEK/Starwave will be able to bring to bear
on the new portal. Clearly, the MOST advanced stuff available.
SEEK already had the lead, a la the May Wired article, in this
area, getting closer to the 1:1 holy grail of Web marketing. Interestingly enough, Net Perceptions Recommendation Engine
is, I think, called 1:1.
