Westfort has chosen to respond. I spoke with both Harvey and Whitney Pasano. Harvey was just sitting down to draft a letter to Maedel informing him of Westfort's intention to sue for damages. Mississippi has a "Long-arm" statute which allows for bringing peddlers back to the state to be held accountable, under the law, for misrepresentations held-out to the people of Mississippi during the course of business. Westfort will contend that Maedel has made false statements and has made misrepresentations in his dealings both in and out of Mississippi. I would further suggest that before you question someone's character, you should talk to them. Call Harvey. Call Mr. Maedel. Tell us what you think of both of them. I'd be interested in hearing.
