for whatever it's worth:
closed-end funds seem to magnify variations in the market. Utility fund is running at a premium and the banking CEFs are running at a 15% discount. Since the market is propped up on financials I find this an interesting observation- the banks are being sold off big-time and the techs are used to hold it up while the money is moved. Europe is also being sold off.
