Wow!.....Left Thursday evening for a nice long three day weekend. Just returned expecting another Ho Hum Friday trading day for CMND only to find out that I missed all the fireworks!....I sure hope that some of my thoughtful friends on the thread jumped in and picked up a bundle of those sub-$4 shares for me Friday morning!

My feeling is that the company pre-announced so that an otherwise positive CC would not be overwhelmed by the earnings miss. By the time of the CC on 7/28 the negative impact of the miss as well as the share price will have settled....News regarding future business, contracts ect. will thus be the focus of the CC rather then a surprise miss of Q2 earnings.....If the news is positive (as I am expecting) then result should renew enthusiasm for investment in CMND.

When I spoke to the analyst last week I questioned him regarding their quarterly estimates. The Volpe analyst stated that they had adjusted their estimates for cmnd after the first qtr. cc to be:

Q2 at 5 cents, Q3 at 5 cents and Q4 at 6 cents

I asked why they felt Q2 would be similar to Q3 and Q4 especially in view of the first qtr. CC that seemed to warn that the revenue stream for new business would likely not be realized until the 3rd or 4th resulting in a soft Q2 in comparison to Q3 and Q4.....The analyst acknowledged the logical basis for my question, however did not have a logical answer for the even quarterly earnings estimates.....It was my impression from talking with the analyst that they had targeted an earnings figure for 98 as a whole and then divided the remaining 3 quarters by the remaining earnings expectation. Doing so of course, does not seem rational when considering the company's comments from the 1st qtr. CC.

We have 7 trading days remaining until the CC. At this point current investors have to ask themselves: Do I think the CC will be positive or do I think it will be negative? (Or Dirty Harry might say "Do you feel lucky?")......If you bank on the negative, the next 7 days will be the time to sell.....If positive, the next seven days provide an exceptional buying opportunity... I for one say to any who are banking on a negative CC......."Go ahead, Make my day!"

Best Regards for an exciting week!......JAB
