Christine, I bought sptr in February 1997 at 19 1/2, and had great hopes based on the the way the company was managed, the good contracts with Corning and Lucent, and the nature of their industry. It has been a painful lesson, but sometimes being a long term investor doesn't make sense, particularly when the fundamentals change. I will sell my Spectan stock tomorrow, and put the remnants into something that has better prospects.
