I saw this piece also. The comment below was a cut away from the correspondent to this nobody ever heard of lone big time "expert witness" web publisher type guy.

<<Later in the spot, there was stated concerns about software applications for the web
publishing market, especially, which are too limited.>>

He said, roughly, that the mac did not have the tools for big time web publishing (sites?)

I was wondering what made this guy an expert on Macs if he was doing all his work on whatever
else he was doing all his work on (presumably NT) It all sounded like one of those doom and gloom sounds bites from 6 month ago. Maybe it was.

I thought it was an inept piece.

I cashed in my chips on the 14th and would now like to see myself back at the table. Maybe we will see 36. We shall see

On another note....................
At least I can still invest in Apple's computers
I plan to buy an iMac on the 15th possibly at CompUsa depending on what they might be throwing
in with box.

I'd like to connect it up with my 6100/66 via Ethernet to be able to utilize my scanner, printer and quick cam and anything else that comes to mind . Is this a matter of just wiring. Will AAUI Ethernet connector work seamlessly with the 100 BaseT on the iMac without hubs and stuff or is here more to it than that. Or is the 6100/66 connector just that....a connector. Does Ethernet actually have to be added via a card ?
I know next to nothing about Ethernet. but I'd like to try to make this work.

Any advice or direction will be greatly appreciated.

It seems to me that this connect-ability via Ethernet with older PwrMacs is an important point
regarding the iMacs viability for current owners.

Thanks, Peter Kelly
