When will CUBE take off? Rarebird has blamed a lack of PR, while others think CUBE should take care of business and focus on products and service. I think there is merit in both sides of this argument, but I also think much bigger forces are in play also.
CUBE is but a small dingy on the vast sea of the financial markets. It can easily be tossed by the waves and tides of market sentiment. Large cap stocks have enjoyed an enormous bull run over the last 4 years, and currently the large caps are due for a breather, and some would say an outright correction is due. Remember, bad years for the DOW happened in '84, '87, '90, '94, and when will be the next down year? The current levels can't be supported based on earnings etc. Its time for a breather.
At the same time, the last few years have been relatively weak for the small caps. INTC has been in a trading range between 60's - 90's over the last 2 years. Since 80% of all mutual fund managers over the last 2 years have underperformed the S+P 500, there has been a race to put all the baby boomers 401K dollars into large caps.
If there is a correction, as some predict, what will this do to CUBE? I don't know, but one scenario could be that investors will start to look for bargains. There may be renewed interest in small caps, particularly the battered technology sector, and then investors might discover what a bargain and a great company CUBE really is, and the LAUNCH will occur.
At any rate, its healthy to fantacize. Only MHO. |
