Tim, Thanks for the information. Here are some questions or comments that popped into my mind while reading your post. The data base is a history of mining not a prenouncement of future operations. When was platinum first mined and why? <<Given the extend of mining in AZ, it seems strange to me that if there are ore deposits containing world class platinum deposits, why has there never been any sign of them before?>> They call the Carlin Trend "invisible gold". Unless you know what you are looking for and exactly how to measure it then you will never find it. I believe that the same holds true here. Technology has changed and knowledge levels have increased. Until the 1980's .03 opt would never been extracted economically and today (with adequate tonnage) it is done on a regular basis. If we only look at history then one can conclude that there are no great discoveries left to be discovered. I do not believe this to be true but I do look forward to this great discovery being history rather than in the future. Chuck
