EATONTOWN, N.J., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Osteotech, Inc. announced today that second quarter 1998 revenues increased 43% to $15,254,000 from $10,703,000 in second quarter 1997 and increased 38% to $28,729,000 in the six months ended June 30, 1998 from $20,787,000 in the same period of 1997. Sequentially, revenues increased 13% over first quarter 1998 revenues of $13,475,000. Net income in second quarter 1998 increased 73% to $2,429,000 or diluted earnings per share of $.26 compared to net income of $1,403,000 or diluted earnings per share of $.17 in second quarter 1997. Net income in the six months ended June 30, 1998 increased 103% to $4,535,000 or diluted earnings per share of $.48 compared to $2,235,000 or diluted earnings per share of $.27 for the comparable period in 1997.
