Jock, couple of things,
>>>"LSI and the SOX are both performing poorly today."
FWIW, Kurlak came out with more doom and gloom about Intel in the past couple days. Could be that's taking the SOXX down, along with Intel.
You mentioned Intel would be a good suitor for LSI. Never happen, IMO. Intel's plate for new stuff is more than full for the next five years, what with Xeon, Merced, 0.18, 0.13, 300 mm, their segmentation of their markets, as you mention (which is segmentation re æPs and related products, not to include other semiconductor products), FTC, copper?. That's enough to worry about without taking on LSI. I also get the feeling Intel doesn't even believe in ASICS, or system on a chip, as a profitable or growing semi market segment.
Tony (tired of my wife asking, every time she looks at stock prices, when are you going to sell that dog LSI?).
