The author of the theStreet.com article is simply wrong. It was a hastily thrown together piece with little background, and a demonstrated lack of understanding of the product and/or the market.

In 5 years, when 3D will be as ubiquitous as modems, TDFX still will be at the top of the heap. And old stressed out what's-her-name, now in Real Estate, will be frantically shuffling through mounds of paper looking for her mouse, still having never had her hand on a joystick.
