I would like to try and clarify what I think Chuca is talking about. I read the great basin gold discovery that he refers to but don't remember it well enough to comment on it. There were reports from IPM that the material assayed better wet vs. dry. I never looked into that claim as I was preoccupied with other things. There have also been several different people that I have corresponded with that also talk about better results in recovery with the absence of Oxygen during the process. It is possible that water in the sample may provide an environment with less oxygen thus giving better results. Like I said, I have never looked into these claims. I agree that water changing the elemental structure is highly unlikely but it does change the working environment immediately around the dirt.

Just my thoughts for consideration.
