Jim,

First, congratulations on so smartly holding AMTX. You show remarkable patience and fortitude, and have well earned the hefty profit AMTX has likely brought you. I first bought Amati back in December at 6 3/4. Sold at 8 1/2 after it dropped from its high of 9 1/2. Bought back at 5 1/2 a couple of months ago but became impatient and sold at 5 7/8 a week later (I'm now kicking myself for that one). I just purchased again on Monday at 10. I agree with you that a little caution is well advised. I also believe that momentum is very strong right now for AMTX. I have also concluded that institutions are responsible for the dramatic increase in the stock price of AMTX, WSTL, and PAIR. In addition, ADSL is a new technology in an exciting area. These kinds of companies can see the price of their stocks go very high in a short time. As well, they can quickly turn back and give back a lot of those gains. It happened with sattelite companies a while ago, chip companies last summer, and internet related companies recently. Each area was VERY hot for a while and stock prices climbed to remarkable heights before retreating to reasonable levels. With this in mind, I feel that ADSL is the hot new technology, and Westell, Pairgain, and Amati are poised to benefit from this fact. I don't think that the stocks will go up forever, but believe that we are only now at the beginning of this new technology being discovered. I feel there is still a large runup in the immediate future but only time will tell. Anyway, I appreciated the comment and wish you luck with all of your investments. Also, if you hear any new news on Amati, please keep me posted.

Regards,

Brian
