LOS GATOS, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- SoloPoint Inc., a communications technology company specializing in personal call management products, today announced that its S-Series Voice Mail Enhancement products have been validated by Comverse Network Systems for use with the company's network-based Voice Mail platforms, including AccessNP(R) and TRILOGUE(R) INfinity(TM). Comverse provides voice messaging, integrated Internet messaging and other related services to over 260 major wireless and wireline telecommunications network operators in 65 countries.
The SoloPoint S-100 Voice Mail Enhancer and S-200 Voice Mail Manager are telephony devices that easily connect to most telephone lines and provide Voice Mail users with popular features commonly associated with traditional answering machines. The S-100 Voice Mail Enhancer allows you to ''live'' screen incoming calls by listening, undetected, as callers leave a message in Voice Mail. At anytime during the message process you can retrieve the caller from Voice Mail for a live conversation. This overcomes the classic problem of running to answer the telephone before the call disappears into Voice Mail after a few rings. With the SoloPoint S-100 you can pick up at any time while the caller is leaving their message and speak with them.
The second main feature of the SoloPoint S-100 is a large, bright, message waiting light that notifies you when new messages are waiting. It also provides another major advantage over standard answering machines, by making it possible to use a fax machine on the same line as Voice Mail. That's something that was not previously possible.
The S-200 Voice Mail Manager incorporates all of the features of the S-100 and adds a set of buttons to access and manage Voice Mail. With the simple press of a button the S-200 will connect to Voice Mail and begin playing messages. Buttons are available to play, save and
delete messages. A unique ''reply'' feature makes it possible to record a reply to messages sent by another Voice Mail subscriber using a built-in microphone.
