the preferred is cd pr i. on aol its symbol is cd-i.

the par is $50. the coupon is 7.50%. that makes the annual dividends $3.75.
that does not mean that the stock will get called at 50 !!!
the preferred will flucutate with the price of the common stock. if the common goes down the preferred will do the same. however if you believe that cendant common will be substantially higher in 2001 then this is a great oppurtunity to earn 12% yield and capital appreciation.

current yield calculation
cy= annual divds divided by price
cy= $3.75 divided by $31= 12.09%

the rating is A-. however their is a alight chance of credit downgrade, however this is still a solid investment grade rating.

this is one of the greatest values i have ever seen in the convertible market.
