Some Peter dude from Microsoft just posted this on an email list: "We are planning on feature parity with Windows 98 for DVD; in fact we may have more drives and decoders supported in NT 5 than we do in Win98. But full support of DVD (except for the actual decoding of MPEG2 and AC-3) is planned." this tells me no SW decode planned there for a while.
