IS THAT A PRODUCT THAT MODIFIES AND EXISTING ENGINE, OR IS IT A NEW ENGINE?
They have some products that modify existing engines to help conform to the new EPA standards. The promblem may be cost. Lets use for example, the new part or what ever its called costs about 50.00. So that product that the consumer buys, lets say a lawn mower, costs about 50.00 to 60.00 more. The AENG motor cost less to build than the original motor used because of less parts ect. The AENG motor meets all EPA standards. So company A uses old motor and new part. Cost of old mower was 300 dollars and add 50 for new EPA part, for a total cost of 350 per mower. Company B uses AENG new motor which meets and exceeds EPA regs. Original cost of mower is 300 dallars. They save 20 dallars because new engine is cheaper. Company B can do one of two things, lower price of lawn mower, pass on savings to consumers or leave price at 300 dallars, making more profits for themselfs and still beating company A by 50.00 a mower.
What happens to your warrantee when you modify a product?
