Absolutely ASTX is feeling the semiequips pain, and probably moreso since it's lower on the food chain. I believe that is priced in. Further, ASTX has diversified its business since the last downturn, which should help their overall performance until the semis come back.

ASTX tends to outperform the sector during uptimes and underperform in slumps. That's a fact of life in the semiequip sector, as well as any business with a food chain.

ASTX usually tracks AMAT pretty well. Buying in is a question of timing. I don't like to time, so I'm holding, and have added some shares. I will own ASTX for at least five years, and I've already owned it for three. I admire the management, although I'm frustrated to own this stock now through a second slump in as many years.

300mm is on the way.
