You raise some good points but I think you read too much into a small announcement meant more for domestic political consumption than anything else. The fact is that in the last few weeks NN has won work in Russia, Ireland, Singapore. There strength is in the world outside the USA. They are short listed for the significant global contracts, and (if you check my post last week) they have won, but not announced, a large contract in Asia-Pacific.

I agree that they need to significantly improve their US presence but to call them "provincial" and Canadian-centric I think misses the mark.
