Penni, the way you all have to worry about your kids is so sad. When I was still in the single-digits I could disappear for hours into the woods, alone. We lived just across the Potomac from Washington DC, in a rather well populated suburb. We never thought about there being any danger. And I don't remember there being any, except to the squirrels who always had to endure a barrage of rocks. Hey, animals didn't HAVE any rights among grade school barbarians back then. It was a kinder, gentler world....
