Good question.

Were would someone find clues? I read the Time-Warner
earnings release to get a feel for spending on CATV upgrade
and modem purchases to no avail. They are too big to get
into this detail.

The trading chart was recently influenced by the AT&T acquistion
of TCI so the chart provides no information regarding the direction
of GIC based upon the leaking of earnings information.

HLIT, SFA and CCBL would seem to have the most similar
product mixes. My guess would be that the earnings of all
these companies would be causually linked to on-going system
upgrades and all will benefit by improved business. Have any of
these released any recent numbers?

Like any economist or weatherman [based upon the lack of significant usefull information] I'd bet that earnings will be in line with expectations like the previous 2 quarters.
