Crysbal: Hard to believe management didn't appreciate the ramifications of the private placements they made. For one, there were numerous postings on this thread that pointed out the obvious. For another, management took the path of writing into the agreement some things about obeying the laws of the land. Unfortunately, some of these hedge funders are located off shore and probably wouldn't pay attention even if they weren't. A further point is that the management of PARS seems to be comprised of pretty bright,wordly fellows; it is hard to believe they would have raised money the way they did if they could have done otherwise. Plainly, the value of PARS at the time was not appealing to other than the kind of people with whom they wound up. The alternative explanation involves chicanery which I've tended to discount. We'll know in about 6 months whether 'better' money can be raised since we'll be out in 1Q'99 according to the latest 10Q. Regards, Arnie H
