I won't try to make an intelligent analysis of an unreleased earnings report but I will say that I think profit margins may have more impact on share price than EPS. Since QPE has been capacity constrained for awhile (whole quarter?), I think margins will be up considerably regardless of recalls and am looking for earnings above expectations a bit. This should push the shares into the 60's or above.

For those who are worried about (or hoping for) a return to the forties, forget it. Past history is not a good future predictor and the elements that contributed to the 40's are nowhere to be seen. I hope there are lotsa shorts still out there...hehehehe.

BTW, yesterday I was relaxing in a State Park and only had a weak-moderate analog signal on my QPE 800. My mother called, it was forwarded from my house, and she was amazed I was on a cell-phone. She said it sounded like a home phone. How does QCOM do this? Or is it the carrier, Airtouch? Mom said both my brothers cell-phones have annoying "sounds" so she can always tell its a cell. One is TDMA, other is analog. There was a time people didn't care much about sound quality (maybe because it was a status symbol to talk on a cell-phone) but I think people know better now that there are alternatives and this should cause people to sign-up with carriers that can offer top-notch sound.
