Interesting to see SunTrust using KO "currency" for it's merger plans.
Looks like the "cola wars" are heating up with pepsi buying Tropicana for $3.3 billion in cash. Too bad they couldn't use KO stock...it seems to be the currency of choice, even Buffet made his purchase of GeneralRe with stock..an unusual move for him.

Pepsi is coming after coke and margins are going thin, IMHO. KO is making a mistake by not offering the newly approved sweetener in the US. I will ask for diet pepsi one. This, plus the acquisition of Tropicana, the largest fruit juice co, will provide greater penetration
into KO's extorted marketplaces. On with the cola wars....

Down with KO
I have puts for Nov $70, $75&$80 and Feb 1999 puts $80. I'm finally seeing the cracks in Buffets armour..first Disney, then McDonalds (I have tons of puts on that one), then ....KO?

Ya never know, though. KO could go straight to $100..thats why I don't short it (the subject of this thread).
