Re: CPQ has 78 days Inventory for an 11% price disadvantage! CPQ is carrying about 53 days of inventory as of the close of the June quarter. Their commercial channel is reported as having another 3.5-4 weeks of merchandise as of the end of the June quarter. Adding this up gives about 78 days inventory in the commercial channel. (I have not seen any numbers on the Retail channel. Wonder why?) So the number should be 11 weeks and the price advantage due to that 11%. This is quite a bit more than the 5% price advantage that you thought DELL had.
