Re: The best scam I've seen in a long time, CYGS
This company started out in the field of cryogenics (freezing living things to preserve them, and then unfreezing them back to life). They were accused of outright fraud: utdallas.edu
Recently SI member "Big Dog" told everyone he could that CYGS had the medical breakthrough of the decade, which, it appears, is supposed to be a cure for aging. Just as I took blastomere separation and cloning, real technologies, and created "TechniClone -- the next Intel" (an April Fools joke), these guys are leaping from test tube to product with vectoring, a real and exciting technology for introducing DNA into cells. Except this is no April Fools joke. They are really scamming people.
So Big Dog claims he flew down to meet with these guys in Texas and was blown away. He hyped the stock all weekend and it set up a big battle between the scambusters and the get rich quick on a penny stock crowd.
The stock went up 45.82% today on 4x normal volume on no news, which means just on SI hype.
Meanwhile, a guy in Texas decides to check out CYGS's offices and see what he can find out. He goes to 6524 San Felipe, Suite 388, Houston, TX 77057. And what does he find? A Mail Boxes, etc. Turns out the "suite" is really a PO box! Message 5253866
What happens next is anyone's guess because "big news" is supposed to come tomorrow. Should be fun!
