The author of this e-mail was a DELL employee. It appears that the confusion theory might be correct.

I thought as much. I personally think a 2 for 1 is what we will get.
I also think, we get more mileage since 2 for 1's come more frequently.
Investors generally perceive frequent splits as a growth powerhouse attracting
even more investors. Although we all know it's not a value added process.
