Kelvin - the point I was attempting to make is that companies that see their stock prices continue to rise are the ones that work closely with analysts and have smooth CCs that spur ratings increases and continued demand for shares by institutions. Not companies which blow out earnings, make fools out of analysts, and then put out lukewarm, uninteresting or worse, negatively construed CCs. What is reasonable? That's obviously open to interpretation...but exceeding expectations by 100% 2 Qs in a row clearly points to miscommunication, or lack thereof. A couple cents is ostensibly low, but I've seen a lot of stocks advance nicely after beating earnings by a couple pennies or about 10-15% greater than consensus. We shall see. I would still like to see a formal PR on new coverage being initiated by a major house.
