Companies that offer private offering do it hoping to get long term investors not day traders.

BINGO!!! Daytraders won't go near a private offering.....most offerings are only made to long and strong investors because that is what MOST companies are looking for....investors who will hold the ups and downs and hold until a 10, 20, 30 bagger is reached is what companies need in order for their stock to be able to hold new levels, instead of falling back to where they originally were after a run...

plus it helps companies raise cash without having to dump shares into the open market
