John, what are you doing up so late? Anyhow, I like your idea about cycle top/bottom indicators -- sounds interesting.

It does stand to reason that when a company issues a secondary, it is implicit that they think the market is valuing their company at a "good" price for them. Certainly we've all seen a secondary offering withdrawn after a stock's price drops "too low."

MarkFin: So they've gotten rid of more than just dead wood? Don't they furlough some who are likely to come back when revenues improve? As long as they keep one or two hard-working engineers around... they can support several middle-managers.
